A gents Omega Chronometre CK 2364 just as it left the factory in the 1940’s with authentic period Omega box. 10,xxx,xxx serial dates production to 1944-47. A fine and rare example in stainless steel. These watches commonly experienced issues with the laquer dial finish explaining why the majority of Omega’s Chronometre models are found with refinished dials. Time has lent a tropical golden patina to the original factory finished dial. The case is extremely well preserved and unpolished, measuring 33mm excluding it’s original unsigned crown.
Stylized arabic hour markers and blued steel dagger hands lend a subtle art deco vibe.
Powering the watch is the original 30T2RG, finely preserved and running smoothly. It’s worth noting that this was the first Omega chronometre to use the 30T2RG sub seconds movement.
