A well preserved and attractive mens IWC “hermet” with black dial, circa 1942. The distinctive 38mm steel “hermet” case with its strong lines and contours remains in excellent overall condition with brushed case sides and contrasting polished bezel. This watch differentiates itself with its clean, black “Mark X” style dial. IWC cartouche logo correct for the period. White printed arabic hour markers and railroad style minute track. Silver syringe hands and subsidiary seconds. Older mint colored re-lume over visible aged cream radium. Â
Powering the watch is a hand-winding IWC caliber 83 with 17 jewels. The movement is clean overall, winding and running well and keeping time.
