A scarce and attractive gents Movado Calendoplan reference 8137 wrist watch, circa 1950. Solid 18kt yellow gold case made by Ed. Wenger, SA with faceted, downturned lugs, snap on back and inner dust cover, measuring 34mm excluding the crown. Case is in honest condition displaying moderate age wear. Original light cream matte dial with applied gold hour markers and inner divider. Date window at 3 o’clock. Outer black-printed railroad style minute track. Gold baton-style hour and minute hands. Subsidiary seconds. Signed “MOVADO”, “CALENDOPLAN”, “SWITZERLAND”.
Powered by a Movado caliber 128 with 15 jewels. The movement displays some wear but is fully functional, winding, running well and keeping time.
