An attractive and scarce steel Movado dress watch, circa the 1950’s. The 35mm screw-back case in stainless steel made by famed watch casemaker François Borgel is in excellent condition and remains unpolished, with chunky, faceted lugs and a broad high polished bezel. The engine-turned dial is a pale champagne color and features applied gold-toned dart and arabic indexes and logo, gold machined second markers, gold-toned dauphine hour and minute hands and center sweep seconds hand. Signed “MOVADO”, “SWITZERLAND”.
Powering the watch is a hand winding Movado caliber 127 with 17 jewels. The movement is winding, running well and keeping time.
