1972 UNIVERSAL GENEVE “FERROVIE DELLO STATO” MK 2, 36MM, STEEL

A well preserved gents Universal Geneve “Ferrovie dello Stato” circa the early 1970s.  Screw back stainless steel case measuring 36mm with crisp sharp edges.  The “Ferrovie dello Stato” was produced by commission for the Italian State Railway and featured a high contrast white enamel dial for maximum legibility.  Under the hood was the robust and reliable in house caliber 64.  The present example is the second iteration of this watch, know as the mark 2 or second series.  The white enamel dial has been well preserved with no cracks or major blemishes.  Black baton hands indicate time.  Subsidiary seconds.  

Original UG caliber 64 in excellent condition, winding, running well and keeping excellent time.
